Sunday was an extraordinary Day after the nightmarish Shani Day
My nomination form was rejected for a frivolous reason, by the Returning Officer of Mumbai North-Central. I was aware till 5 pm of the extraordinary happenings in the office of the Returning officer of Mumbai North-West regarding the Shivsena candidate. However I did know from the media, what finally happened.
At 6 in the morning I read the Times Of India and on page 5 read an extraordinary story.
Drama at Bandra collectorate over Sena man’s form
Mumbai: The suburban collectorate at Bandra witnessed high drama on Saturday. When the scrutiny started on Saturday morning, Kamat’s election agent Amarjitsingh Manhas, said Kirtikar had not filled up form 3A of the nomination paper and not signed it.and Finally:
In the order, the returning officer, Dr Ashwini Joshi said not filling up a form III A and III (D) and then not signing it is not valid grounds for rejection of nomination.
Now I knew, that was an error 100 times more grave than, what I had committed. As a matter of fact, now I have discovered, I HAVE NOT COMMITTED ANY ERROR. Only the Returning Officer has behaved, as if he cannot read English, Maybe he is a symphathiser of Samaaj Vaat party.
As I moved to other pages of the Times of India, my attention was grabbed by GANESHA SAYS by Bejan Daruwalla ( I read such columns and forget the contents after 5 minutes, but this weeks contents I will not forget for the rest of my life, It is as under :)

By 10 am, I started receiving calls from friends and well wishers, by 11.30 am I had received calls from 3 lawyers, offering their services FREE to represent my case in the High Court.
And by evening as I went through Election laws, I knew, I definitely will contest the Mumbai North-Central in 2009. If not in the election on 30th April 2009, definitely within 6 months after that.
Justice against illegal rejection of my nomination form I will get only after elections and I have a right to challenge, the entire election process for Mumbai North Central Constituency, within 45 days after the result is declared, in accordance with the law.

The rejection of my form, delay in providing a certified copy of the order, which was finally given only at 2.30 pm on 13.4.2009 and the whole process of nominations was to be wrapped up by 4 pm 13.4.2009, after which no changes can be made in the list of the candidates, proves only that the Returning Officer had malafide intentions and bias against me. I am aware, all this is at the behest of some interested party, who is definitely one of the candidate from this constituency, who did not want me to contest, because some votes would have been split.
A week before, pressure was built up on me to withdraw from the contest, by some organisations, who had earlier wanted to support me, but switched loyalties to a late entrant ... I had bluntly refused to withdraw.
