Delhi cops abduct 3
merchants

New Delhi: Two Delhi policemen
allegedly abducted three businessmen from Rohtak,
brought them to the capital and demanded a ransom
for their release. The two cops are absconding
after a police party from Rohtak conducted a
rescue raid early Sunday morning and arrested a
couple of their associates.
The kidnapping came to light
after two of the victims, released to fetch the
ransom money, alerted cops in Rohtak. DCP West
Sharad Agarwal said, The matter has come to
my knowledge and an inquiry has been ordered.
Head constable
Dushyant (40) and constable Parminder
(35), serving as special staff
of West district police, allegedly
masterminded the kidnapping along with
two locals from Madipur in west Delhi.
The businessmanRajesh Agarwal (35),
Pankaj Kumar (30) and Avinash Chaudhary
(32)were abducted from Rohtak on
Saturday and brought to Delhi.
The three have alleged that
they were tortured and beaten up by the two cops
and their associates inside a police post in
Punjabi Bagh. The cops also threatened to frame
false criminal cases against them.
The accused cops later released
Pankaj and Rajesh to fetch the ransom of Rs 1
lakh. The two reached Rohtak late on Saturday
night and registered a complaint at a Rohtak
police station, after which a team was rushed to
Delhi and Avinash rescued. Anish (25) and Lokesh
(30), the two who had assisted in the kidnap,
were arrested but the policemen fled.
